The study, conducted by japan-101.com, analyzed numerous variables to determine which team was the most expensive in the NFL to support. Variables included average 2023/24 game ticket prices and costs for team jerseys. Also considered were the costs of beer and hotdogs at each teams' home stadium. All 32 teams in the NFL were analyzed. Data came from TickPick and NFL Shop.
Currently be the most expensive team in the NFL to support is the Las Vegas Raiders.
The study showed that a trip to a Raiders game at Allegiant stadium costs fans an average of $1,318. Which was three times the average amount that fans of the cheapest team spend. That spot was given to the Houston Texans. Whose fans only spend about $379.14 per game. Just to buy tickets to the game, without considering food or souvenirs, a Raiders fan spends about $1,165.
The Philadelphia Eagles came in as the second most-expensive team to support. A fan of theirs spends an average of $1,009.84 per game. Third place went to the Kansas City Chiefs with an average spending of $949.37 per game. Fourth and fifth place went to the Detroit Lions ($904.11 average cost per game) and Dallas Cowboys ($887.29 average cost per game).
Here's who to go see if you want a cheap NFL experience.
So, if you're just looking for a live game and don't care which team is playing, there are much cheaper options. According to the study, the second cheapest team to support right now is the Arizona Cardinals, with an average spent of $413.29 per game. Followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($421.79 average spent per game), the Atlanta Falcons ($425.57 average) and the Cleveland Browns ($436.39 ).
Looks like Vegas will cost you an arm and a leg if you want to see a football game locally. For one on the cheaper side, maybe take a road trip to California or Arizona.
What Star Wars Character Is Your Favorite NFL Team?
What Star Wars character do you think YOUR NFL team is?
Robots, AI, Chat GPT - there is no doubt about the fact that we are entering a brave new world of technology. It seems as if each day brings another technological innovation that will be amazing, and somewhat flawed, and change our world in both good and bad ways.
You hear more and more everyday about AI, or artificial intelligence. Scroll through TikTok and you will see dozens of videos promising to show you how to AI can help you make millions of dollars, be more efficient at work or even plan your vacation.
It's all very cool, and futuristic, and even Jetson-like. But I do believe if we're not careful, we'll all be replaced by new AI Overlords soon!
Chat GPT-4 actually did this list, and compared every single NFL team to a Star Wars character, and matched them up. Some of the results are really fun - and actually pretty dead on. Others, maybe not so much.
Again, keep in mind that a company called Fansided did this on Chat GPT-4, so it may have gotten certain details incorrect or some of its data might be out of date - because AI is still slightly flawed, and it probably will be for a while. Humans designed it, after all.
Chat GPT-4 is only "trained" through September of 2021. So for example, Chat GPT-4 doesn’t yet know that the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl this year, nor does it know of a lot of the changes that have taken place in the NFL over the last couple years. But it sure knows its Star Wars characters!
All of that said, the data it does have on NFL teams is pretty extensive. So they took a deep - and fun - dive in, and basically let a robot come up with the Star Wars character for your team. See what you think, and how accurate or inaccurate you think these comparisons are.
