It was the opening of "The Eras Concert Film" this past weekend. But one local man got called out for seeing the Taylor Swift movie alone! The Mike & Carla Morning Show get a text from a guy describing his weekend. A 39 year old single male, who loves the music of Swift. Since he couldn't get tickets for her concert, he thought seeing the movie would be the next best thing.

However, he couldn't get anyone in his circle of friends to go with. So, he thought what the heck, I'll just go myself and enjoy. He said in the text that thoroughly enjoyed the movie, the atmosphere and assumed it was the next best thing to seeing Taylor "live"! On the other hand, he got some weird looks during the screening. In fact, some asked where his family was.

What's wrong with seeing the Taylor Swift movie by myself?

Needless to say, the question is, was it really that weird for a guy to go see this movie on his own? Would have been more odd if his buddies did go with him? To see two or three thirtysomething guys sitting in the middle of a theater with a whole bunch of "Swifties?"

It really was a no win situation for the guy when you come right down to it. But the listeners this morning stuck up for the guy. Got a lot of support from people who congratulated the guy for going. Not sure how many of his buddies would have agreed to go or not.

Mike O'Brian sympathized with the guy from his own experience. The first time Barry Manilow came to town and he ended up with a pair of opening night tickets. He wasn't comfortable asking any of his "guy" friends to the show. And what would a woman think of him have opening night tickets to Barry Manilow?

As it turns out, what should it matter right? Go, you do you and enjoy the things you enjoy...don't worry about what others think right? If you have an extra couple of minutes, listen to the segment.

But we should warn you that near the end of the segment Carla Rea gets called out. Find out what for and enjoy!
