Local Woman Spots Stanley Cup At Henderson Airport

It doesn't happen very often, so consider yourself lucky, but a local woman spotted the Stanley Cup at the Henderson Airport! After making an appearance at the season home opener of the Vegas Golden Knights, it was packed and ready to go.

Now The Mike & Carla Morning Show should clarify that the "local" woman was none other than Mike O'Brian's wife. She actually has a job that lead her and a few others out to the terminal at the Henderson Airport. While there, she noticed someone who looked very familiar. She also noticed that he was standing next to a huge black trunk.

The Stanley Cup was at the Henderson Airport!

Whispering to her co-worker, "I think that's the Stanley Cup guys!" And they just happened to be standing next to a big black case, big enough to house the coveted trophy. She was quick to put two and two together...before she knew it, she was standing next to the beloved CUP! The great thing was that there weren't too many others in the terminal to get in on the surprising discovery.

Now how would she know all this you ask? Thanks to her wonderful husband, she has also know become an incredible hockey fan herself! Of course, seeing it being carried out on the ice the night before at the VGK season home opener didn't hurt either!

The two gentlemen that are known for escorting NHL's most important trophy around the world, gladly took it out. They popped it up on the black trunk and before you know it, it was picture time! What are the chances of a surprise encounter with one of the most famous trophies in sports? In Henderson, OF COURSE!

I asked her if she actually touched the trophy and she said "YES!". I told her that was a true hockey fan "no-no"! But hey, she was in the moment and there was nothing I could do about anyway. But it was truly a great moment for her and her friends...just a chance meeting with Lord Stanley's Cup!
