An Alarming Amount Of People Shower With Their Pets

We do a lot of things while in the bathing, but it seems that an alarming amount of people are taking a shower with their pets! It's true...and it came up this morning on The Mike & Carla Morning Show Friday morning!

According to a recent story put out by CISION, we all have our unique shower habits. From brushing out teeth to shaving our legs. In fact, the article revealed that 80% of women shave their legs on a regular basis in the . On the flipside, 18% of men will shave THEIR legs in the shower occasionally. 8% on a regular basis...say what?

The survey also revealed that 20% of us will clean the inside of a shower while bathing. But the stat that stood out to us on The M&C Morning Show is that 15% say they shower with their pet! SERIOUSLY?

So, we threw it out there because we wanted to know...how many people say it's normal to do that with your pet? Amazingly enough, the phones lit up and listeners started texting in. Clearly it's not that odd. Even Morty, our Executive Producer on the show, who has a bulldog thought it a little weird and would never do it.

One woman called in saying that it's a lot easier than giving your dog a bath! Another woman talked about taking a shower with her parrot. Although it sounded odd to us, she said that her parrot is used to a "rain forest" atmosphere, so what's the biggie? And that she and the parrot sing together while in the shower. Okay, thought she made a good point with the rain forest, but then crossed the line! LOL!

One other stat in the survey...a few people admitted to cracking open a beer in the shower! Well, it's all here in the segment from this morning...enjoy!

If you drive with your dog in the car and if you feel that the pooch might be getting stressed out, there might be a solution! According to a recent study, they find that dogs prefer soft rock and even a bit of reggae when feeling stressed out.

Now, while you might have your own mix tape that your dog likes, take into consideration that SWNS Digital published the article, that 75% of those surveyed were planning on taking there four-legged friend on a "staycation" with them and 72% travelling by car. So this information comes at the right time and can be very useful for those still planning on a vacation this summer. On the other hand, consider those that simply drive around throughout the week and during the weekend taking their dog with them...if you don't have these songs on your playlist yet, you might want to think about adding them!

The article also states that the good news is that 81% of dog owners are willing to change their playlists in the car to ensure that their dog remains happy whether blowing down the highway or stuck in a traffic jam for 20 to 30 minutes.
