It's about that time of the season and Cher has a new Christmas song and Mariah is NOT happy! It came up the other morning on The Mike & Carla Morning Show.

Cher has a new holiday album coming out on October 20 and has enlisted some friends to be on it! The album has tracks on it with Michael Buble, the one and only Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper and Darlene Love. And for some reason out of no where...Tyga!

Cher's New Christmas Song and Mariah is NOT happy?

The M&C Morning Show give you a sample of the song and it sounds very  "Cher"! From using the processing that's she's used on former hits to when it kicks in. It's upbeat, very seasonal!

Now the words is that as good as it sounds, Mariah Carey is NOT very happy about it. The rumors are that she's not really excited about Cher having her own Christmas song. The reason might be that Mariah wants to be the "Queen" of Christmas with her own song, "All I Want For Christmas Is You!"

The fact that it's probably one of the most played Christmas song of all time outside of "White Christmas". But that's not good enough...clearly Mariah does NOT want anyone to challenge that. Even CHER!

Listen, it's Christmas music and do we really think that anyone would be able to put out a holiday song to challenge Mariah? Okay, maybe one person. Let's just say her name begins with Taylor and ends with Swift! Ya think?

Even Carla throwing out her best effort to improve on Cher's song can't help the popularity. But Carla gave it her best shot! And the response was overwhelming.

Nonetheless, The M&C Morning Show has a sample of Cher's new Christmas song. If that wasn't enough, the celebrity hotline rang and you're never gonna guess who was on it?

Listen to the segment from the other morning yourself and see what you think of Cher's new Christmas song!

Toys have been around for centuries sparking joy in family house holds across the world. Parents will go to the end of lengths to get their child popular Christmas toys just to see them smile.

Stacker created a list of the most sought out toys from the years you were born and if these toys don't spark instant nostalgia we don't know what will. The toy list was created with valuable information from national toy archives and data from The Strong National Museum of Play. Before we dive into which toys were popular from years past we dug up the origin history of the word toy.

What Amazing Toy Was Created The Year You Were Born?

The history origin of the word "toy" is very fascinating but still remains slightly unknown. According to the Britannica, the history of the toy dates back to early BCE. The word toy was first written back in 500 BCE from the Greeks. They created what we know today as the modern yo-yo which were made from wood and metal. The Britannica did state that it is believed that China may be the original creator of the yo-yo from a date before 500 BCE.

As to what is the oldest toy in the world? Many archeologists are still figuring that out. The Fleet Science Center at FleetScience.org says, the world's oldest toy is the spinning top.

We will wait for more history to become uncovered as the world may never know. But what we do know is that this list gives great insight on the evolution of toys in America and how modern technology has advanced overtime. The prices and quality of popular Christmas toys have changed significantly. For the better? We will let you be the judge of that.

We chose iconic toys from each decade but to see all of the toys for those in-between years, check out Stacker's list here.
