If you or someone in your family in Las Vegas has a disability, there is a new center dedicated to empowering and enhancing your life.
The Collaboration Center Foundation (CCF) serves and supports individuals, and their families, in Las Vegas who live with disabilities. The organization has been in Southern Nevada since 2019. Their mission is to enhance the lives of those touched by physical, intellectual, developmental and learning disabilities and to be a destination for community inclusion.
CCF announced this week the grand opening of their newly renovated campus. The new Helms Helps Hub at Collaboration Center will be a destination for community inclusion. To support their mission of enhancing the lives of those with disabilities, CCF will use this new space to encourage social interaction to its guests. It will also provide family and peer engagement and recreation. As well as therapy and education resources.
The renovation at Las Vegas Ranch is now the home of 23,000 square feet of treatment and therapy space. There, community partners can operate in collaboration with CCF's goal. Some of the nonprofit partners on site include the Christopher Smith Foundation, Children’s Heart Foundation, Foster Kinship, Sing Out for Autism, and Boys Town. There is also a Medicaid office on site, as well as CCF's Pathways program, which offers wrap-around services.
The new space includes a developmental preschool and education facilities. There are also treatment facilities and an autism assessment clinic. A new grab-and-go cafe has also been introduced. And the Collaboration Center Foundation even has a tortoise habitat, inclusive playgrounds, and a garden and outdoor amphitheater for community gatherings.
Additionally, CCF has announced that there will soon be medical and health clinics at the center. And their Let’s Talk Therapy program will soon provide various therapies to guests. Port Of Subs Helps “Cover The Community’s Needs” With 6th Annual Project H2O
Port of Subs' very own franchise field consultant, Michael Adams, stops by Beasley Media Group's KKLZ studio to chat with The Mike & Carla Morning Show on Project H20, the Vegas community and giving back.
The 6th Annual Mike & Carla‘s Project H2O, in partnership with The Salvation Army sponsored by Port Of Subs, started on Monday, May 16 and runs until Friday, May 27.
Vegas' favorite local sandwich shop is stepping up in a big way and we are so happy to have Port of Subs as a sponsor. As you know Vegas gets hot early in the year and with a shortage of water now has never been a more important time to help our neighbors of Southern Nevada.
"We try to cover the community's needs with all the support we give," says Adams, who stopped by The Mike & Carla Morning Show the other morning. They have been assisting the community for years and to be a part of Project H2O is "a great opportunity."
Mike & Carla mention how if locals can't donate through out the week, they can still participate over the weekend with our Project H2O Water Donation Party happening on Saturday May 21, 2022 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (noon).
Come donate a case of water and hang out at the Beasley Broadcast Group building, located at 2920 S Durango Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89117. Port of Subs will donate 50 cases of water on Saturday!
Adams challenges Vegas to donate 200 cases of water on Saturday, May 21, and Port of Subs will donate an additional 50 cases of water. How amazing.
For every four cases of water that you donate, you will receive a lunch-for-two at any local Port of Subs. Port of Subs has provided four store locations across the Vegas Valley that will be intaking the donations of water.
You will be able to meet Mike & Carla or Morty at the other drop off locations. We hope to see out there. Come take a selfie!
