New Center In Las Vegas Is Helping People With Disabilities
If you or someone in your family in Las Vegas has a disability, there is a new center dedicated to empowering and enhancing your life.
The Collaboration Center Foundation (CCF) serves and supports individuals, and their families, in Las Vegas who live with disabilities. The organization has been in Southern Nevada since 2019. Their mission is to enhance the lives of those touched by physical, intellectual, developmental and learning disabilities and to be a destination for community inclusion.
CCF announced this week the grand opening of their newly renovated campus. The new Helms Helps Hub at Collaboration Center will be a destination for community inclusion. To support their mission of enhancing the lives of those with disabilities, CCF will use this new space to encourage social interaction to its guests. It will also provide family and peer engagement and recreation. As well as therapy and education resources.
The renovation at Las Vegas Ranch is now the home of 23,000 square feet of treatment and therapy space. There, community partners can operate in collaboration with CCF’s goal. Some of the nonprofit partners on site include the Christopher Smith Foundation, Children’s Heart Foundation, Foster Kinship, Sing Out for Autism, and Boys Town. There is also a Medicaid office on site, as well as CCF’s Pathways program, which offers wrap-around services.
The new space includes a developmental preschool and education facilities. There are also treatment facilities and an autism assessment clinic. A new grab-and-go cafe has also been introduced. And the Collaboration Center Foundation even has a tortoise habitat, inclusive playgrounds, and a garden and outdoor amphitheater for community gatherings.
Additionally, CCF has announced that there will soon be medical and health clinics at the center. And their Let’s Talk Therapy program will soon provide various therapies to guests.
