The Most Dangerous NFL Stadiums – Las Vegas Not Even Close
There’s a lot of talk lately, about how dangerous football is. But it usually has to do with what happens on the field.
There’s a new report from Sportsbook Review out, on the most dangerous NFL stadiums It’s based on actual crime statistics in the area, as well as fan surveys. Here are some of the basics.
Bronco Country:
Overall, at number one – and perhaps surprising: Denver Broncos’ stadium, Empower Field at Mile High, was named the most dangerous stadium. They say there are 70 crimes per 1,000 residents in stadium’s zip code.
Now this does not include the terrible beating the Broncos took at the hands of the Miami Dolphins. And it was not a home game.
What Kind Of Stadium Dangers:
Again, possibly surprising: The Seattle Seahawks’ stadium is the second-most dangerous, followed by the homes of the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Kansas City Chiefs.
If you’re talking about violent crime only, the Lions’ stadium is #1. Followed by stadiums of the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, and New Orleans Saints. Sad for all of these teams, however it won’t stop fans from seeing their teams play!
Stadiums Where You Probably Saw Crimes Happen:
The stadium with the most crimes witnessed by fans, is Lincoln Financial Field, where the Philadelphia Eagles play. I don’t think even Eagles fans are surprised by this.
The Dallas Cowboys’ stadium is second, Then the homes of the New England Patriots, New York Giants AND New York Jets, who both play at the same stadium. Lastly, followed by the Browns.
In a Sportsbook Review survey of more than 3,000 NFL fans, nearly 40% of fans said they’d witnessed a crime in or around an NFL stadium. Sadly, 7% said they had been victims of one themselves.
The Safest NFL Stadium:
Unfortunately, the report doesn’t really offer a full ranking on the other end, so it’s hard to say which stadiums are the safest.
Suffice it to say, The Las Vegas Review Journal ranked Allegiant Stadium In Las Vegas one of the best for visiting fans. Biased? Maybe. But if you’ve been to a game at Allegiant, you’d probably agree.
