St. Jude’s Ranch is hosting an extravaganza in Las Vegas. To help their mission of supporting Nevada’s local children and young adults in need.
St. Jude’s Ranch helps transform the lives of abused and at-risk children in Nevada. They do this by giving them a safe place to make new choices, leading to new paths and new hope for a better life. The nonprofit organization has programs to serve foster and homeless children in our community. They also help survivors of sex trafficking in Las Vegas with their Healing Center.
The organization is hosting their “Un-Gala” on Tuesday, October 19, 2023. It promises to redefine the gala experience for its guests. The event will be from 6 – 9 p.m. at the “Assembly” at the UnCommons community. Located at 6880 Helen Toland Street in Southwest Las Vegas. The event will include fun-filled activities, unlimited small bites and drinks from various culinary and beverage stations. There will also be photo opportunities, entertainment and more.
Proceeds from “Un-Gala” will benefit the various programs at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children in Southern Nevada.
Like the Therapeutic Residential Program for foster kids ages 0-18. This program addresses the social, emotional and behavioral issues often present in children who have been abused, neglected, abandoned or homeless. The Transitional Living Program focuses specifically on older children who are prepared to enter the world as adults. These 15-18 year olds receive life skills training to prepare them for integration into society.
The Pregnant and Parenting Teen Program helps an extremely underserved demographic in Nevada. Which has one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy in the country. Older clients get help at St. Jude’s through the Transitional Housing Program. Which helps 18-24 year olds transition from homelessness to housing. And teaches them to maintain their new situation by helping them become stable, self-sustaining individuals.
For information about all the programs St. Jude’s offers, visit stjudesranch.org. Tickets for the “Un-Gala” are $200 and are available here.

Collecting Thousands Of Water Bottles For Las Vegas Community
The Las Vegas sun can be brutal. Imagine having no shelter, no shade and no air conditioning. Water can be life saving when it comes to those who have no home. This is why Mike & Carla dedicate a few weeks out of the year to collect water bottles.
Mike & Carla's Project H20 Party happened on May 20, and it was a beautiful day of working toward a powerful mission. The community really supported us, and we thank everyone who donated!
Every year, Mike & Carla from The Mike & Carla Morning Show organize a water drive for our Las Vegas community. We spend a few weeks out of the year, collecting donations of water for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army then disperses the water to people in need throughout the scorching months of Vegas summer.
96.3 KKLZ partners with The Salvation Army to stock up on cases of bottled water just in time for summer. Vegas gets hot, so this is a life-saving mission for the vulnerable populations in our community.
Thank you to everyone who donated! We collected over a thousand bottles of water, which will be a great help to those in need.
Larry and Candy donated four cases of water, Chris donated four cases of water, Barbie donated four cases, Raquel donated four cases of water, Rich donated a case of water, Katie donated four cases of water, Mona donated four cases of water, and Rebecca also donated four cases.
