If you're a Las Vegas local and don't have time to cook for the upcoming Jewish New Year, you don't have to.
Siegel's Bagelmania is a modern Jewish delicatessen and bakery in Las Vegas. They've been around since 1989 serving up all kinds of authentic Jewish recipes to the local community. And they're offering special menus for catering for both Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.
If you've never been to Siegel's Bagelmania, it's a fun little hidden gem near the Las Vegas Convention Center. They offer around the clock breakfast and lunch. With a menu full of breads, bagels, and pastries, all handmade from scratch. And all inspired by staples you'd find in a traditional Jewish deli.
If you choose to eat inside Siegel's Bagelmania flagship location, you'd find a spacious dining room for public eating. As well as a private dining room that can be rented for special events. There's also an outdoor patio with misters for those hot summer nights, and a full bar with gaming. If you're more an on-the-go type person, check out their huge delicatessen and bakery and grab something to go.
Catering for the Jewish New Year celebration.
For those who are celebrating the upcoming Jewish New Year at home, Siegel's Bagelmania is offering two great menus. Including a more traditional family dinner for Rosh Hashanah and platters and side dishes for Yom Kippur.
Rosh Hashanah will kick off the Days of Awe this year on Friday, September 15 until the evening of Sunday, September 17. For the occasion, a catered family dinner is available that will feed 8-10 people. Included in the meal are all the favorite dishes. Including matzo ball soup, holiday brisket with gravy, roasted chicken, choice of chopped liver or noodle kugel, potato latkes with cherry apple sauce, roasted carrots, large round challah either plain or raisin, and a choice of honey cake or black and white cookies. All for less than $300.
For the smaller families, there are individual dinners also available, which offer a choice of the menu items the full dinner comes with. Those are priced at $32.95 each. Orders for either can be picked up Sept. 14 and Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All items will be cold and come with detailed reheating instructions.
For Yom Kippur, Siegel’s Bagelmania is offering various platters and salads. Options include fish, bagels, egg salad, chicken salad, white fish salad, tuna salad or chopped liver. There's also meat platter options available. As well as baked rye or challah bread. And a dessert platter that includes choices of rugelach, babka cakes and traditional black & white cookies. Orders can be picked up September 23 through September 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

17 Vegas Restaurants On Yelp’s Top 100 List
Do you always have tourists asking where they should go for the best eats in Las Vegas? Or maybe you want to try a new place but don't want to waste your time with bad food. Well, Yelp is here to help.
Every year, Yelp comes out with a Top 100 list. The list encompasses all the restaurants that have landed in the top 100 for best reviews. And though their are places all around the world worthy of the list, the "Top 100 Places To Eat" collection only includes restaurants and eateries in the United States. With that being said, Yelp just released their list for 2023, and two Las Vegas spots landed on it.
The list isn't as simple as just the top 100 places that got the best reviews though. These aren't the 100 restaurants that got 5 stars. But all the places on the list do have at least a 4.5 star rating. So you're still looking at some pretty darn good eating.
The way the list is compiled is a little more complicated. According to News Nation Now, the process starts with submissions and suggestions from users. Those submissions are compared against the ratings and number of reviews on their platform.
Then "Yelp’s analysts also tallied the amount of submissions for each restaurant, and attempted to account for 'geographic representation' based on the overall share of suggestions and highly rated restaurants for a given area" (newsnationnow.com). The next step is filtering the picks through Yelp's community managers, who are experts in each region.
Like we said, it's complicated. But you don't have to know the logistics to benefit from them. Just gather your list of places to try here in Las Vegas that landed on the list this year. And since Yelp has been doing this list since 2014, there are even more Vegas spots worth checking out. More than 30 of our local restaurants have made the list over the years. And we've compiled the ones from the last five years for you to visit, starting with this year's winners. - Wendy Rush
