One Thing That Scarred Us For Life…Never Again
As kids it doesn’t take much or as adults either…but what was that one thing that scarred you for life where you said “never again!” That’s what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know the other morning. We all have something that we experienced as a child or even as an adult where we told ourselves we would never do that again right?
On The M&C Morning Show, we were all right there confessing starting with Morty! He told everyone how he will never jump rope again and the reasons why. Scarred for life, even to this day, present him with a jump rope and he breaks out in a cold sweat.
What Is It That Scarred You For Life?
Carla Rea talked about her fear of electricity and why. To this day, the simple chore of replacing a light switch or plug gives her the shakes! And Mike O’Brian talked about the fear he has of lighting a pilot light. Stove, fire place, whatever…never going to do it again. Why? It only took one time for it to blow up in his face, singe the eyebrows and he was done!
But what was your experience that you told yourself, given another chance to do it, not going to happen. Listeners were happy to call in and confess to their fears, in fact it seemed very cathartic for some! One woman talked about washing a full metal cheese grader, cutting herself so bad that to this day won’t do it again.
But there was a guy who talked about, as a kid, his camping experience that kept him from camping to this day! And it wasn’t like in the mountains or in the desert…just in the backyard. He and his brothers setup their tent. While they slept, a bat got into the tent flying around. Could not get out of there fast enough…and hasn’t camped since!
