If you had the chance to go back in history, you might be surprised as to where most would go if they could travel back in time! It was the topic of conversation this morning on The Mike & Carla Morning Show. Of course, an interesting thought that you would have to take time to think about.

According to a recent survey with SWNS, most people said Ancient Egypt and the American Revolution! The findings were all apart of a travel piece on where people would like to vacation right now to going back in history. If given the chance, the Golden Age of Greece and going back to the era of Vikings also hit the Top 5.

Where would you go if you could travel in time?

All historical places most people would like to go back in time. Now keep in mind, you couldn't change anything, you would be there just to observe the one specific event.

Of course on The M&C Morning Show, all the answers were a little different. While Mike O'Brian was good with the American Revolution, Carla Rea was a little different. Carla is NOT a fan of dirt or war, so she thought going back to the early 60s to be apart of a more innocent age. Specifically when John F. Kennedy was elected President.

Woodstock also came up when listeners were asked to decide on a historical destination. One listener went one step further and would want to travel back to see Nirvana, when they first broke out! Morty, The M&C Executive Producer, quickly agreed...historical event!

Which ever event you would want to witness, clearly it was important to you. So you go back, then once you're done, you pop back to present day. Quite the offer if it were possible and we think a lot of people would take advantage of it. Given the chance, take a couple of minutes and listen to the segment from this morning...and enjoy!

Nevada Spot is No. 3 on the Best of USA Travel List

Several Nevada travel attractions have been named among the 150 best things to do in the United States. This list is from Travel Lemming, and one Nevada travel spot is even No. 3 on the tally.

The annual list from Travel Lemming "aims to help Americans discover unique attractions around the country and in their own backyards. It emphasizes human-curated recommendations over AI chatbots," according to a statement. "A diverse array of attractions made the article's top 10 designation, including a wild animal sanctuary in Colorado, a Bavarian Village in Washington, and the world's largest musical instrument in Virginia," they add.

Travel Lemming is an "online travel guide with more than 10 million annual readers. It publishes guides written by local and expert travelers who have first-hand experience in destinations across the United States and the world."

So, which Nevada travel spot made the cut? Lots, actually. Read on for the tally, including which spot is No. 3. I really like this list, because is has some attractions that I wouldn't have thought of visiting. For the full list of 150 of the best things to do in the United States this summer, go here.

Nevada Travel Spot: Here Are the Area That Made the List

147. Get Tickets to Dive In Movies at The Cosmopolitan

This one is is Las Vegas, Nevada. Travel Lemming states to see fun drive-in movies at The Cosmopolitan. That's a great idea, right? "Float in one of Las Vegas’ most luxurious hotel pools while sipping a movie-themed cocktail and watching a film on the big screen," they add.

88. Be on the Lookout for Aliens at Area 51

Woah! This is in Rachel, Nevada. Travel Lemming says to look for aliens. To each their own! "Drive to the entrance gate of a top-secret government building and hang out in an out-of-this-world town full of model UFOs and alien-themed restaurants," they explain.

78. Party All Night at Electric Daisy Carnival

Here's another Las Vegas option. Travel Lemming says, "Dance from dusk ‘til dawn to some of your favorite EDM artists at this world-renowned music and art festival." Sounds fun, right? Let's do it!

45. Bump Along in an ATV at Big Dune

Here's something fun in Amargosa Valley, Nevada. "The Big Dune recreation area is just over the Death Valley border and boasts one of the state’s best places for ATV adventures," Travel Lemming explains.

31. Bend Your Perception of Reality at Omega Mart

Here's a Las Vegas favorite. Travel Lemming says, "This alternate reality grocery store stocks funky products like bog water, 5G lip balm, plausible deniability, and mammoth chunks." I'm in!

14. Suss Out Spooky Spots in Rhyolite Ghost Town

I love a good ghost town! This is in Rhyolite, Nevada. "Touring what remains of Rhyolite is like experiencing a ghost story with a twist, for here, it is the living who haunt a place locked in a time," Travel Lemming states.

3. Catch a Sunrise in Valley of Fire State Park

How cool is it that No. 3 on the list in all of America is here in Nevada? It's in Overton, Nevada. "Hike among 46,000 acres of red sandstone formations, petroglyphs, and ancient trade routes for a desert experience like no other," Travel Lemming says.
