Fans of Star Trek beam down to Las Vegas this week for the “57-Year Mission Convention.” This festive gathering is going on today through Sunday at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

TV And Film Stars Will Make Guest Appearances

Undoubtedly, Las Vegas attracts celebrities from all over the galaxy, and this fun, fan-friendly, convention is no exception. From Star Trek: The Original Series, actors William Shatner (Captain James T. Kirk), George Takei (Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu), and Walter Koenig (Ensign Pavel Chekov) are going to make appearances. That’s according to CreationEnt.com, the entertainment company hosting the event.

In fact, there are over 160 special guests expected to attend “STLV: 57-Year Mission Las Vegas” at the Rio. For this purpose, click here to get the latest special guest list and cancellation updates. “Boldly Go” For Photo Ops, Autographs, Special Events At Star Trek Convention

Of course, there will be photo and autograph opportunities with your favorite character actors from every incarnation of Star Trek. In general, these photo and autograph opportunities will cost you cash. Nothing’s free in this world, or this galaxy. You can see a list of actors and what they’re charging for photos and/or autographs by clicking here.

Will there be parties? You’d better believe it! For example, the party starts tonight with The Roddenberries. That’s a band taking the name of the Star Trek franchise creator, Gene Roddenberry. Similarly, they will be performing as the house band throughout the weekend. The Action Figures band will be performing at the Saturday Night Gala. In similar fashion, the weekend wraps up with The Rat Pack stepping back in time.

On Friday evening, actors from that series will get together to reminisce. The panel includes: Brent Spiner, Denise Crosby, Gates McFadden, John de Lancie, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Marina Sirtis, and Michael Dorn.
