Kansas City Chiefs Travis Kelce Rejected By Taylor Swift — Ouch
Taylor Swift has hds her heart broken, and she’s also broken a few hearts. Like maybe the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce?
Rejected By Taylor Swift?
Rejection hits differently when it comes at the hands of Taylor Swift — just ask Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Earlier in July, Kelce attended one of Taylor Swift’s shows at Arrowhead Stadium on the Kansas City leg of her Eras Tour. While most concertgoers were there to enjoy the music, and just have a great time. Travis Kelce had another goal: To give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it.
Sadly for Travis Kelce, he was shot down, and not able to catch Swift (yes, that was a “Catching Kelce” reference).
He made a special friendship bracelet that he wanted to give to her, along with his phone number. Unfortunately, he was shot down in his attempt to become, – umm, friends with Swift? Maybe more?
Travis Kelce Was Hoping For More.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings,” Kelce told his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, on their “New Heights” podcast.
Travis Kelce explained why he was hoping to meet the singer. “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets and I had received a bunch of them, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift with my number on it,” said Kelce.
Jason to ask for clarification on whether his brother was referring to his football number or phone number. “You know which one,” Travis said with a grin. “She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”
Could This Be The Reason?
Travis went on to say it was an unbelievable show, and that he’s “only seen Arrowhead filled like that for Chiefs games with that much excitement, and yeah, everybody was dressed in pink and purple going crazy. It was a wild show.” Jason noted that Swift is an Eagles fan and may not be over Philly’s loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII..
Ok, sure – let’s go with that being the reason Tay-Tay shot down Travis Kelce. At least she didn’t write a song about him – yet.
