You knew it had to happened sooner than later...a company in Mexico has set the record for creating the world's biggest Marshmallow! If you're thinking about going camping this weekend, you would have more than enough to roast at the campfire!

A candy company south of the border actually crushed the old record! The old record of 250 pounds sat there for a few years until this candy company decided to up the ante.

This is the BIGGEST marshmallow in the world!

It took over 100 employees to wheel out the new record setter weighing in at over 1400 pounds. Noting that the official weight was just under 1430 pounds...that's about 130,000 bigger than a regular marshmallow! Oh, the new world record marshmallow stands at about five feet tall! To put all this into perspective, that's like the size of one and a half grand pianos!

According to Guinness World Record people, it took a team of 100 people two hours to pour the mixture into a mold.  All this happening outdoors in a temporary industrial plant in the popular area of Plaza Fundadores in Guadalajara.

It took 113 minutes to pour the ingredients into the mold. Then another 48 hours to let it set and then be viewed by the Guinness officials.  Overall, it took about 53 days to make this happen and was done in conjunction with a celebration in the state of Jalisco in Mexico.

Going BIG is nothing new for the Dulces Mazapán de la Rosa candy company. Back in 2018 they were recognized with a Guinness World Records title for the largest peanut mazapán candy! All in all, it's a family affair and chances are they will be back!

And here all along we were lead to believe that Texas was known for size! Well, guess what? Clearly there's a new sheriff in town and it just happens to be south of the border!
