Glenn Frey: 6 Lesser-Known Credits From His Career

Glenn Frey passed away on January 18, 2016. Frey's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career is littered with credits, primarily from The Eagles. However, he has made a number of other appearances on other albums.

In honor of Frey's life and career, here's a brief look at six lesser-known credits from his career.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - 'Stranger In Town'

Frey and Seger went back and knew each other from the local Detroit music scene. Frey appeared on a number of Seger albums including 1978's Stranger in Town where he provided the guitar solo on "Till It Shines."

Elton John - '21 at 33'

Frey provided backing vocals on "White Lady White Powder" from Sir Elton's 1980 album.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - 'Against The Wind'

Frey provided backing vocals on two tracks from Seger's 1980 studio album: "Fire Lake" and "Against the Wind."

Jimmy Buffett - 'Last Mango in Paris'

Frey co-wrote "Gypsies in the Palace" from Buffett's 1985 studio album and also provided additional vocals on the track.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - 'The Distance'

Frey provided backing vocals on "Shame on the Moon" from Seger's 1982 studio album.

'Ghostbusters II' soundtrack

Frey contributed the track "Flip City" to the soundtrack to 1989's Ghostbusters II.
