Distracted Drivers Are Causing Traffic Problems
You see it happen every day. If there is an accident on the side of the road, everyone slows down to take a look. With that in mind, our natural curiosity forces us to slow down, or even stop, and gawk at something as big and wonderful as the Las Vegas MSG Sphere. Especially when it’s all lit up. We just can’t help it.
As it happens, that is now the case since the MSG Sphere’s spectacular debut earlier this week. Tourists who are walking by are all stopping to take photos or record videos. There are large crowds in the vicinity, with everyone battling for the best spot for photo and video opportunities.
Unfortunately, it’s not just pedestrians who are slowing down to gawk. Now, drivers are being distracted by the awesomeness of the MSG Sphere. Many are slowing down. In fact, some are even stopping to record videos or take photos. That’s according to an article by Sasha Loftis on 8NewsNow.com.
MSG Sphere: Permanent Traffic Problem Or A Temporary One?
All things considered, do you think this will continue to be an ongoing traffic problem in the area of Sands Avenue and Koval Lane? There is already construction taking place on Koval, so that’s adding to the very slow traffic in that area.
On the other hand, do you think these traffic problems are temporary due to the newness and the uniqueness of the MSG Sphere? Per Loftis’s article, MSG Sphere officials have been working closely with Clark County officials. They want to make sure they’re following all necessary brightness and safety precautions. The MSG Sphere folks say they can make changes if necessary.
The first major concert event will occur at the MSG Sphere on Friday, September 29th, when the band U2 kicks off their Las Vegas residency there. In the meantime, if you don’t have to travel in that area, you may want to avoid it.
