Clark County Warning: Enjoy Fireworks, But Be Careful

With the Independence Day next Tuesday and stands everywhere selling fireworks, Clark County officials say enjoy the 4th of July, but stay safe! That's the warning coming from county officials with the holiday right around the corner. In fact, the statement from the county, Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick said,  “We want everyone to have a fun and safe Fourth of July holiday, but illegal fireworks pose a serious threat to public safety".

Setting the example right off the bat this morning, The Mike & Carla Morning Show replayed the guy trying to set a new world record with firecrackers. This is something that M&C would never promote, quite the opposite, please do NOT try this at home. The guy stuffing his mouth with firecrackers and then setting them off!

Las Vegas is shooting off enough fireworks for everyone...again this year. Up and down the Strip, in Summerlin, Anthem and all over the valley. The bottom line is that if you are doing them yourself, be careful! Now with that said, The M&C Morning Show wanted to know what was the most amount of money you've ever spent on fireworks?

That's a whole different ballgame and you might not be SHOCKED (shocked) at the amount. Our own Executive Producer, Morty, even admits to spending thousands of dollars on fireworks. WOW, big surprise right?

It is how easily we will spend big bucks for something that lasts only minutes. Oh, maybe that came out wrong, but nonetheless, you get it right? Fireworks has been a fascination for people for the longest time and still we are amazed.
