Bent Inn, First LGBTQ Boutique Hotel In Las Vegas Opens Soon
It’s the first LGBTQ+ hotel in Las Vegas, modeled for, and catering to those in the community, and allies.
The ‘Bent Inn‘ is almost ready to open its doors. Right in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, it’s surrounded by graffiti murals, neon lights, beautiful signage and Las Vegas history, “Bent Inn” is trying to make its mark in the downtown skyline.
Bent Inn is also “straight-friendly”:
About six blocks from the Fremont Street Experience, at Ogden and 11th street, the soon to be boutique hotel is a cross between mid-century architecture and new age industrial vibes. Bent Inn is expected to be the only LGBTQ-owned and operated boutique hotel in Las Vegas.
Owners Greg Kafka and Mark Hunter told the Las Vegas Review Journal, Vegas has so many tourists coming, but they don’t have any hotels that cater to the gay clientele. “We are billing ourselves as a ‘straight-friendly’ hotel. A lot of places advertise as gay-friendly, so we’re flipping it as a fun little bit and people can be comfortable as themselves.”
Hunter says Las Vegas has many gay friendly hotels but none that cater to the LGBTQ+ community strictly. Bent Inn is a hotel curated with the LGBTQ+ community in mind, creating a safe space for members and allies to enjoy the Vegas experience.
It wasn’t easy:
Getting here has been a task, They purchased the property in January of 2020 and faced a lot of delays including a pandemic, and supply and supplier issues. The hotel is slated to open later this year in September.
Bent Inn will have “playfully designed rooms” with wall murals and original posters of gay pulp fiction from the 1950s and 1960s. The hotel will also have a pool and 50-seat gastropub that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a shareable menu.
