Where Does Las Vegas Rank For The 4th of July
With the 4th of July right around the corner, WalletHub put out a list of the 100 best places in the U.S. for Fourth of July celebrations. Where does Las Vegas rank for the 4th of July? Well, we're not #1, but we are in the Top 5! Based on public fanfare and fireworks overall. They also included affordability, everything going on around the holiday as well as weather and safety. Turns out Las Vegas rates really well!
Before we get to the Top 5, other cities that came in the Top 10...San Diego, San Antonio and Milwaukee! On the other hand, the worst cities to end up in on the fourth? Birmingham, Alabama comes in at the bottom at #100! Clearly nothing is going on there when it comes to the 4th of July. Surprisingly, a few cities in North Carolina also ranked in the bottom ten!
But, The Mike & Carla Morning Show also wanted to know where the BEST place was to watch from here in Vegas. Keep in mind, that with all the growth over the years, what might have been a great vantage point might not even be there now.
Listeners did text in and call in with their favorite spots that still seem viable throughout the valley. Keeping in mind that there will be fireworks all over the valley...especially if the weather cooperates! It does seem logical that the higher you go, the better the sight line. On the flipside, we found out that you really don't have to worry about depending on where you live.
All we know is Las Vegas takes the 4th very seriously and being in the Top 5 proves it. But where do we officially rank? You can scroll down a bit to find out, then take a few minutes to enjoy the segment from this morning...and enjoy!
