Given The Choice: Getting Dumped Or Dumping Someone

It was a question that popped up this morning...given the choice, is it easier getting dumped or dumping someone? That was what The Mike & Carla Morning Show got this morning from a woman who emailed the show. She's been with a guy for about 10 years and they have seemed to grown apart. He's too nice to dump and she doesn't want to hurt his feelings. However, she wishes he would just dump her.

"To be clear, it's not you, it's me!"

Oh what to do right? Hey listen, it seems that we've all been "dumped" at least once in our lives. It hurts and it's never nice. But given the choice, is it easier to dump somebody when it comes right down to it? We can all agree that either one has it's pros and cons, but we didn't know that Carla Rea has never broken it off with anyone! She has never had to "have the talk" and end a relationship!

With all things considered, that is so truly amazing. On the other hand, any relationship she has had, the other person has always been the one to end it. In some situations that's not always been a bad thing. When it comes to Mike O'Brian or Morty, clearly they've gone through both and now it's no big deal either way.

M&C did find out that most people as they get older have less of a problem with either one. It comes down to who's wasting who's time. If it's over, it over...plain and simple. Why go on, wasting each other's time. Move on and just have fun. It turns out to be nothing personal, we've just grown apart, we both know it, so thanks for everything and good luck.

We realize that might seem kind of cold, but like we said before, as you get older, no need to waste each other's time. It was quite interesting the difference of opinions though from those listeners texting in. It wasn't even separated by gender. Give the segment a listen and you decide...and enjoy!
