How Often Should You Actually Wash Your Jeans

It was an answer that shocked (shocked) everyone on the show...how many times you should actually wash your jeans! This came as quite the surprise seeing that it was from top executive at Levi, the mother of all jeans. The Mike & Carla Morning Show revealed the states and listeners were quite surprised to find out the answer. Clearly we are all washing them more than we should!

According to the design director at Levi, he said that he only washes his Levi's after every 30-50 wears! Say what? In fact some experts say that instead of washing your jeans, place them in the freezer after spraying them with vinegar! Another suggestion, leave them out in the sun for what they call a "UV wash"!

Seriously, how long do you wait to wash your jeans?

Not sure if you follow any of these practices, but if you're like Mike O'Brian or Carla Rea, your washing your jeans after every first or second wear! Keep in mind, living in Las Vegas, going into casinos, bars, clubs, you really want to get that smoke smell out of your pants as soon as possible. Or is that just us?

According to a couple of listeners, it's all about the softener! And that's coming from a few guys that called in this morning. Now, according to Bella, a self-proclaimed "hippie" in the early 60s, you didn't wash them, but you did use an organic softener! When we say "organic", it was one that wasn't quite legal back then!

And she went on to say that it wasn't like they each had 5 to 10 pair of jeans each. They maybe had one to two pair at the most and even then, didn't wash them very often...and for good reason. One mother washed her friend's pair of jeans and afterward claimed, "...they are ruined!"
