If it's been hard to get an appointment at the local DMV, get ready! Nevada is setting up "Walk-in Wednesdays" starting on July 12th! Soon you will actually be able to walk-in to any of the local DMV's here in Clark County without an appointment and take care of business. How cool is that?

However, a reminder from The Mike & Carla Morning Show, don't tell anyone until you've been there. Then you can pass the word along! DMV is also opening up on Saturdays, but you will need an appointment.

"Walk-in Wednesdays" should help ease the lines at the DMV

For those wondering, this is how "Walk-in Wednesdays" will work. Customers checking in at an office during will generally be issued a ticket with a return time. Once they return at that predesignated time, they’ll be issued a call number for their turn at a window.

According to an official at the DMV, the high demand is the reason for more flexibility in hours. It also helps out a lot of us that can only get things done on the weekends. .

Of course a reminder from the Department of Motor Vehicles is that common transactions, like license renewal, can always be taken care of at many kiosks location through the valley.

There are four locations of the DMV throughout the valley,,,

  • 8250 West Flamingo Rd. Las Vegas, NV 89147
  • 2701 East Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV. 89104
  • 7170 North Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas 89131
  • 1399 American Pacific Dr., Henderson, NV. 89074

This is great news for a lot of people that find it tough to get to a local outlet. And of course, this should ease the lines at all four locations, making an easy in and out.

It seems pretty simple and should workout for most. On the other hand, we all know that when you even think of heading to the DMV, you better have patience!

You know what? If it helps just a little bit, that's good with us!
