What Is The One Concert That Surprised You

We've all gone to a lot of concerts and shows over the years, but what's the one concert that surprised you? The one concert you really didn't even want to go to, but you went and SURPRISE! You actually walked out thinking, "...I hate to admit it, but they were good!"

That's what The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know this morning. Trust us when we say there were quite a few to choose from. The way this whole thing started was celebrating Barry Manilow's birthday. He turns 80 today and still going strong and continues to perform at The Westgate!

Mike O'Brian was the first to admit, not real keen on going to see his opening night. But after all the hits, the streamers and partying at the Copa, Mike will tell you, it was a FUN show! Same with Carla Rea...who knew right?

The One Concert That Was Surprisingly Good!

So that was the question this morning, what concert or show was it that you were actually a little embarrassed to go, but then it turned out okay? Boy, the text lines blew up immediately with people naming every one from Paul Simon to Donny & Marie Osmond.

One woman said that she had to drag her husband to see Donny & Marie for their anniversary. He went kicking and screaming, but after it was done, he admitted that it was a great show and would go again!

See, we all have those shows, but it was a shock (SHOCK) when one guy said Air Supply! The ironic part about all this is that Mike & Carla were talking about Air Supply off the air. Who would ever admit to seeing Air Supply? Mike had heard that despite what you might think, they're pretty good! Mike's one hard rocker friend had to go with his girlfriend because she wanted to see them. Holy crap, after the show he told Mike, "...I would never admit it, but they were actually pretty good!"
