It was an email that came in asking, keep my friend or keep dating her dad? We found out that she wasn’t an old friend, just a “friend”. But nonetheless, it was something that The Mike & Carla Morning Show talked about this morning. It was another session of “Group Therapy” with M&C hoping to help this woman out.
She went on to say that she met this guy at a car dealership where she works. She’s in her mid 20’s and he’s in his late 40’s. They’ve been having a good time and she is totally into him. No other guy she has dated has ever treated her better. However, come to find out that the guy is the father of one of her friends.
Keep the friend or keep dating dear old dad?
The woman said that she is not an “old” friend, but someone she knows through other friends. Once the daughter found out she was dating her dad, she got a call from his daughter screaming at her to break it off or lose the friendship.
We know, it’s a little complicated, but keep in mind, they are not “old” friends! It’s not like they grew up together and have known each other since they were kids. And the other fact is that the one girl didn’t even know that was her dad. The daughter found out by seeing a picture of the both of them on her dad’s phone…uh oh!
So, what do you tell this person? Do you stick with what you think is a great relationship? See how far this goes or do you dump the dad and keep the friendship? The M&C Morning Show was surprised to find that a lot of listeners thought the girl should not worry about the “friend” and keep dating the dad!
If you think about it, it’s not like they were life long friends and no matter what happens, she’ll always be the girl that dated your dad! Think about it, what do you have to lose? Listen to the segment below and you tell us!
The Worst Places To Go For A First Date
Valentines Day is around the corner. Biggest day for dates, flowers, chocolates, and anything else that say’s “I Love You” or “I Like You!” This includes date nights. For some, this is a day you’ve celebrated many times before and for other, this could be the first date with the person you’re interested in!
A survey was done by Tombola who surveyed 11,000 people. They found the worst places to go on a first date! So if you’re planning that first date for Valentines Day, might want to stay clear of these places!
The survey results showed that the movies are the absolute worst place to take someone on a first date! Back in the day, that was the spot! Of the 11,000 people polled, 2,361 voted to NOT go to a movie! Why? The mandatory silence for the movie doesn’t allow you to actually talk with the other person and get to know them better!
If you’re trying to be cheap, rethink where you’re going to take them for dinner! The second worst place to take someone on a first date…McDonalds! Thirteen percent of the people polled said it’s a bad first date idea because of how cheap, convenient, and unromantic it is.
And we all love to do it when we’re home alone, but to do it with someone as a first date is absolutely wrong! Talking about Netflix and chilling or staying home. Again, it gives the impression you’re cheap or don’t want to put too much effort into the date.
Below are other first date DO NOT’S to consider avoiding! We have more on this story in today’s edition of a Few Things You Should Know!
Going To A Parents Home
Meeting the parents on a first date is just wrong! You don’t want to be that person who takes someone to meet your parents when you yourself don’t even know about that person! 522 people voted this as the fourth worst first date idea!
Visiting A Restaurant
This is something you would think would be a must do on a first date, but apparently it’s not! It came in as the fifth worst idea for a first date!
Going To A Pub or Bar
Going to a Pub or Bar is a bad place to do a first date because it can be loud and filled with a lot of distractions. Plus drinking can get out of hand and then you either learn too much about the person too quickly, or it can get ugly! Stay clear of Pubs and Bars for a first date!
Watching A Football Game
Think it’s pretty obvious on this one. A first date shouldn’t be any sporting event, especially a football game. You spend more time watching what’s happening at the game that you don’t spend time talking and getting to know the person!
Attending A Funeral
I don’t even know why this is even an option. I think it’s just known that you don’t take anyone to a funeral unless you’re married to that person or have an established relationship with that person. For a first date at a funeral is a BIG NO!
