VGK Fans Celebrate On The Mike & Carla Morning Show

It's was quite the game last night and maybe that's why VGK fans were ready to celebrate as the team won the Stanley Cup Finals! The Mike & Carla Morning Show encouraged fans to celebrate this morning on the show! Since the Vegas Golden Knights won their first Stanley Cup by beating the Florida Panthers four games to one. The final score was a little lopsided to say the least skating away with a 9-3 WIN! You read right, the VFK scored 9 goals in Game 5 to take the WIN!

The other big story last night was the play of Captain Mark Stone, For the first tine in close to 100 years, a player scored a "hat trick" in a Stanley Cup Finals. So if you do the math, yep, Stone did a third of the scoring for Vegas!

What was really cool is that Coach Bruce Cassidy started 5 of the original 6 "Misfits" at the beginning of the game. Took a little time for the crowd to figure it out and even more so for the Panthers!

As usual, T-Mobile was sold out and rockin' as well as the thousands of fans on Toshiba Plaza watching the game. It was quite the night to be a Vegas fan for sure.

After all was said and done, Jonathan Marchessault was presented with the Finals' MVP trophy by NHL Commissioner and then came the moment! Captain Mark Stone was called out to take Lord Stanley's Cup and he did so with pride! After handing it off to the next player, the Cup made it's rounds on the ice with fans going nuts!

Overall, it was truly an amazing night. Completing what owner Bill Foley predicted at the announcement of the new franchise, that we would win the Cup in 6 seasons!

So this morning, The M&C Morning Show wanted fans to call in. Whether they were at the game or hanging out on the plaza. They wanted fans to share the experience and that they did. So if you were unable to attend, enjoy as much as you can through those that were there!
