With a lot of kids graduating this year, it's that time to get a summer job and plan for the future. However, does one dad allow his graduating daughter to take the summer off? That was the big topic this morning on The Mike & Carla Morning Show. Some would refer to it as their "gap" summer...that time you need to just chill before college or getting that new job!
Now we can all say that we enjoyed a "gap" summer at one time or another, but according to the story, Mike O'Brian's friend had other concerns. Mike's friend has a daughter who graduated with honors, a good kid, but when it came down to it. no plans! That's what really made dad nervous. Didn't know about what college she wanted to go to, what occupation she wanted to explore. She just wanted to enjoy the final summer of her youth!
Daughter just wants to take the summer off...that's all!
Hey, wouldn't we all? And maybe for the most part we did, but it's a different time and things are a bit tougher out there. When asked if dad was getting any support from mom...uh, not at all. Mom actually felt that she worked her butt off during school, maybe it was time to chill a bit.
