It's trending everywhere in Vegas right now. An alien sighting in Sin City.
And unlike other claims, this isn't one metro was going to ignore. It happened a little over a month ago, on the eve of April 30. A Las Vegas resident placed a 911 call just before midnight, claiming there were alien beings in their backyard.
The call was a little suspicious, though.
Even while the caller was telling the 911 dispatcher about the beings in the backyard, he sounded pretty calm. As he described the 8-foot beings that were "100% not human" and had big eyes and mouth, his voice didn't quiver. He said he was terrified, but didn't sound that way. You can hear the call in this video, as reported by 8 News Now.
The situation leaves doubt too.
Several eyewitnesses say they saw something that corroborates the caller's story. But there allegedly isn't one single photo of the alien beings. We're all glued to our phones these days. How is it possible that nobody took a photo of this?
That's not to say it didn't happen. Let's just pretend for a second that we have had foolproof confirmation that aliens exist and visit us. Now let's pretend they have mind powers. I suppose alien beings could transmit some message that prevents people from taking photographs. Or perhaps the sheer shock of seeing an alien would make someone not think so logically in the moment.
So, yes. This whole thing is a little sus. The only alleged "proof" of anything possibly landing in the caller's backyard was a ring on the ground, caught by drone video. But that could have been the imprint of an old pool or fire ring. It doesn't mean it was alien.
But here's where the story gets interesting.
There's a reason the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department took this call seriously. The reason they chose to investigate the alien claim was because one police officer saw something crash down from the sky moments before the call came in.
I know. Cue the head-exploding emoji. About 40 minutes before the call came in, several people, including the metro officer, saw a flash in the sky. It was seen by witnesses in Utah, Nevada and California, according to 8newsnow.com. And a blue UFO was caught on the police officer's body cam.
Okay, now we're paying attention. But still, no photos and the case has since been shut.
And here's one more interesting detail...
Another witnesses claimed that as all this was going down, he saw a black SUV circling the area. Coincidence? Or cover up? You decide.

Move Over, Area 15, Las Vegas Is Getting More Immersive
It looks like Area 15 in Las Vegas is about to get some serious competition. This time in the world of immersive entertainment. An Albuquerque based company called Electric Playhouse is looking to expand to Sin City this year.
Electric Playhouse is posting a lot of details this week on their website about the upcoming Vegas location. And it looks seriously awesome! They'll be setting up camp in the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace. Taking over a space that is more than ten thousand square feet. And they plan to be here as early as this summer.
According to their website, Electric Playhouse in Las Vegas will have something for everyone. They have an entertainment experience for a wide variety of ages and demographics. They say children, teenagers, adults and seniors will all have something to enjoy.
Another exciting thing is that their offerings change daily. So there will always be something new to check out. And their experiences will change depending on the time of day as well. They'll have options for date nights and birthday parties. Also corporate events or family outings.
When it comes to the demographics they're inviting, that's diverse as well. Electric Playhouse promises that "whether you’re a thrill-seeker looking for an adrenaline rush, a culture enthusiast seeking to discover new forms of art, or a food lover looking to indulge in gourmet delicacies, Electric Playhouse has an experience designed just for you" (Electricplayhouse.com).
At their flagship location in Albuquerque, Electric Playhouse is already impressing the crowds. They've hosted immersive dining experiences and interactive art exhibits. They've also held sports watch parties.
Electric Playhouse is known for their cutting edge technology. So this is definitely going to be an experience like no other. Here's some of what can we look forward to this summer at the new venue. - Wendy Rush
