You’ve heard the rumors, or maybe you haven’t. There is lots of buzz that the Walt Disney Company could move some of its movie operations to southern Nevada. Well, Nevada Disney Productions has a nice ring, right?

Disney, of course, is one of the biggest brands in the world. They have Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, as well as parks all over the globe. When it comes to movies, Disney is known for its animated gems, but they also have plenty of feature films for both kids and adults.

Nevada Disney Productions?

InsidetheMagic.net is reporting that, “It looks like the Walt Disney Company will make a big change and move some productions to the Battle Born state: Nevada.” They add that, “Weeks after Sony announced that it was building a new studio presence in southern Nevada, developer Brandon Birtcher has stated that the next movie studio to show interest in transferring is Walt Disney Pictures.” Another developer, Jeremy Renner, is also reportedly interested and has said that Disney could even be a possible studio partner.

Birtcher add that different Hollywood studios have also entered negotiations. He says via InsidetheMagic.net, “Sony and Disney are just the tip of the iceberg. We have been in very active negotiations with many studio production companies. And once this bill becomes law, we will be concluding the negotiations and then making the announcement of our big-name production partners.”

These moves related to Nevada’s Senate Bill 496, often called “The Film Bill.” This bill would offer major tax breaks to any movie and production company that moves some filming to Nevada. Many have supported the bill, including State Senator Roberta Lange, Howard Hughes CEO David Reilly, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Wahlberg. Read the full story here.

  • 4: Disney California Adventure Park, Anaheim, California

If you want that Disney experience but live on the West Coast, then you’re much closer to Disney California Adventure Park, aka “Disneyland,” than you are to Disney World. I’ve actually been to both parks, since my aunt lives near Disneyland, and I went as a kid. The park is super fun for those of any age, and it really gives you that Disney movie experience, but in a park. The park has been updated over the years, but it’s more classic than Disney World.
