It's a very important day for a lot of reasons...including those hoping to be drafted into the NFL! It seems that Las Vegas is well represented in the 2023 NFL Draft! Going from a local high school to college is one thing. But making it into the National Football League is a whole other level!

Las Vegas high schools have sent quite a few players into the NFL and this year might not be that different. Just last year alone we saw a few high school products moving on with help from the NFL draft. It's not easy, but some do make it and go on to have a great career. Names like Frank Hawkins from Western High School, who went onto play for the Oakland Raiders. Gerald Riggs name also comes up. Riggs played at Bonanza High School and had a great career with the Atlanta Falcons and Washington.

Las Vegas Names Being Mentioned

Some of the names being mentioned in this years draft? Darnell Washington, who ended up at the University of Georgia, and went to Desert Pines High School. Washington is a 6'7", 269lbs tight end who won two National Championships playing at UGA.

Another name popping up is Dalton Kincaid. After attending Faith Lutheran High School, Kincaid ended up at the University of Utah. Standing in at 6'4" and 240lbs, it seems he is the radar of a few teams.

One other Las Vegan to keep an eye on will be Dorian Thompson-Robinson. After playing at Bishop Gorman High School, this standout quarterback headed to Southern California to play for UCLA! It's there that Dorian played for 5 years and got himself ready to enter this year's draft.

All in all, there are about ten to eleven other talented athletes prepped for the draft over the next few days. So, good luck to all those from Las Vegas and Nevada for that matter in NFL draft this year!

#5 Los Angeles, CA

Another surprising result. With L.A. having two teams playing in their city, the L.A. Rams and the L.A. Chargers, you would think they would be higher. Yes, the two teams are rivals, but that makes the city more of a football city! They came in at #5 for pro and for college, this isn't shocking...#37!
