It's amazing on how Las Vegas continues to reinvent itself throughout the years. Earlier in the week, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority unveiled it's new slogan and video to attract even more visitors to our city! With help from R&R Advertising, the spot revolves around all the incredible sporting events happening in our city.
According to a recent article in the Review-Journal, the video also spot lights the high end dining experience, as well as "club" scene. R&R seems to have captured it all through images of the city and animation. It gets the message across that our city has it all! So, when you make plans to visit, you better plan to stay for more than just a day.
If you think about all the upcoming sporting events planned starting next year, the campaign makes sense. The Super Bowl, Formula One, NCAA Basketball Finals just to name a few. Then you throw in what's going on with the Vegas Golden Knights, the Raiders, the chance of the Oakland A's moving here, the spot makes sense. Our city has indeed is turning into "The Greatest Arena On Earth"!
For those of us that have lived here for years, the transformation of our town has been quite amazing. From the days when the Las Vegas Stars started playing at Cashman Field in the early 80s. And everyone remembers the Las Vegas Thunder! The Thunder, a minor league hockey team, that played their games at the Thomas & Mack starting in 1993 through 1999. However most would tell you, UNLV Runnin' Rebels' basketball was really the only sporting events happening in town.
Throw in all the great concerts that have been filling venues, the city has been enjoying a growth unlike any other city has ever seen. It's been building for years, but we have to come to terms with the fact that our city is a major player when it comes to sporting events. And nobody does it better than us when it comes to the spectacular of an event on any level.
