Just a little surprised, but believe it or not, one third of all Americans have admitted to shoplifting! Given a chance to lie, most of those came clean and admitted to doing it! What is so shocking is people were honest about their life of crime!

On The Mike & Carla Morning Show, clearly we are a bunch of goody-two shoes! Mike O'Brian has never shoplifted anything in his life and Carla Rea, well that might be a little different. Nothing huge, maybe a candy bar one time when she was little. Had to claim she didn't know what she was doing.

Now according to the numbers put out by YouGov, the numbers are pretty shocking. But think about it for a second...have you ever seriously shoplifted from a store? 57% of those that were included in the survey say that they have NEVER ripped a local store off. But of those that admitted to it, 10% were adults.

So think about it, what was it that you lifted as a kid or even as a grown-up? As a kid, most of those that have done it, it was a simple candy bar done on a dare or just to see if you could get away with it. If you were still doing it as an adult, then there were other issues to consider.

When it came to the act as adults, 50% said they never got caught...on the other hand, 43% did! The one sad fact that stands out in this survey is that over 51% of those that have lifted, did it because they just couldn't afford to pay.

No matter what the reason, 66% surveyed do feel that shop lifting is a crime. So, if you have a couple of minutes, check out the stats....and see if what category you fall into. Just remember, don't do the crime if you can't do the time!
