Las Vegas Couple Scammed Out Of Thousands of Dollars
It can happen fast like it did to one Las Vegas couple who got scammed out of thousands of dollars. These artists are everywhere and that’s how the topic on The Mike & Carla Morning Show got started. It can happen when you least expect it and it can be costly!
But it was a call into The M&C Morning Show that sparked the conversation. One family that got taken for a few thousand dollars before all was said and done. Consider this a warning or at least a heads up to still be on on your toes!
Listen to this husband and wife who thought they were communicating with a family member the whole time. Texting back and forth, and just like that, the money is GONE! Although they started seeing the signs of a scam, it was too late. It all could have been avoided with a single phone call. Instead of texting back and forth, the lesson here is: CALL! Talk to the person they are alleging to be!
This brought on a few other calls from listeners talking about telemarketers. The people that called in had their own ways of dealing with this these people. Some actually take it as far as they can playing the game knowing it’s a joke. From changing voices to prompting those that call keeping them on the line for hours. We guess that if you have the time, that’s fine.
But it the end, it’s a warning to be careful at all times. Be on the lookout for that odd text, that phony Facebook Messenger, or even a call.
