Gwyneth Paltrow’s Latest “Wellness” Trick Is — Interesting
Gwyneth Paltrow has said and done some wacky things in the name of wellness, but the “weirdest” one apparently involves, well – back and down there.
During an appearance on “The Art of Being Well” podcast,” Goop founder Paltrow said she has “used ozone therapy” – umm – “rectally.” She went on to say, it’s pretty weird but she thinks it’s been very helpful. I’M SO CONFUSED!
Ozone therapy refers to the process of administering ozone gas into your body to treat a disease or wound. But the process isn’t regulated and in 2019, the FDA claimed it was “a toxic gas with no known useful medical application.” But Gwyneth did it – and she did it THERE.
Paltrow broke down her daily wellness routine with host Will Cole, of “The Art Of Being Well” – all while giving herself an IV. “I love an IV, I’m an early IV adopter,” she said. She particularly loves Glutathione and Phosphatidylcholine. She says they’re quite hard to find, and they make her feel “so good.”
Aside from her regular morning IVs, Paltrow practices intermittent fasting until around noon, when she finally eats something that won’t spike her blood sugar — like soup or bone broth.
The Academy Award winning Paltrow then gets in “one hour of movement” from Pilates or walking, before she starts her post-workout routine.
After ‘dry brushing’ (unclogging pores, and exfoliating skin. It also helps detoxify your skin by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage) in her infrared sauna for 30 minutes, Paltrow has a paleo dinner with “lots of vegetables” to support her detox.
Can one person actually be so completely out of touch? Well, social media users slammed Paltrow for coming across as just that. “Is starving wellness?” one TikTok user asked, while another added, “What is she detoxing? Black coffee, bone broth and vegetables?”
I’m sure it’s got to be amazing to be a celebrity and live in a world of home spas, and trainers, and IV’s, and bone broth – and rectal ozone treatments – but I’ll hard pass it.
To Gwyneth Paltrow, I say: Live life – and EAT SOMETHING!
