With the legendary band Foreigner coming to Las Vegas, lead singer Kelly Hansen talks music, high school choirs & more! The Mike & Carla Morning Show caught up with the rocker on the phone the other morning and covered quite a bit of ground.

Kelly talked about how he ended up in this iconic band over 19 years ago as lead singer. You know how they say timing is everything, well it true! As Kelly tells it, needing a new direction in his life it just so happened the band was looking for a new lead singer. The rest as they say is history.

After being in his own hard rock band, Hurricane and putting out a couple of hits back in the early to mid 80's, Kelly also did some work with Dokken, Slash (Guns N' Roses)  and more. M&C also talked to Kelly about his "guilty pleasures" when it came to music around the house. You might be a little surprised at what he said he cranks up at home!

Right now, 96.3 KKLZ is searching out high school choirs to sing back up on their song "I Want To Know What Love Is". It's during their residency at The Venetian. Foreigner has been doing this during their current tour in cities where they perform. How important the message is here from the band to the local school districts to keep music programs.

On the other hand, there seems to be a reciprocal feeling of delight on both sides. He does talk about seeing the faces on the kids when the curtain opens and there could very well up to 30,000 fans in the audience. Keep in mind school directors, you only have until Friday, March 17th to get your entry in for your choir!

So, take a couple of minutes and listen to the visit...and enjoy!
