It's been awhile, but the band YES has released a new single from their forth coming album "Mirror To The Sky". It from the band's 23rd studio album and the song is titled "Cut From The Stars".

The Mike & Carla Morning Show has talked to lead singer Jon Anderson a few times and he is a rock-n-roll hobbit. Living in the woods outside of San Luis Obispo, California. Having moved there in 1995. His distinct voice and lead vocals is easily recognizable and a staple of the total YES sound.

The band YES, with all it's success, recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2017. Their unique sound and lengthy singles kept them off main stream "pop" radio stations. But it was on classic rock stations that the band found it's true home.

One of their biggest hits to date, "Roundabout" released in the U.S. back in 1972, was from their 4th studio album "Fragile". The song was 8:27 seconds long, but to play on mainstream, they cut it down to 3:27 seconds. The album was ground breaking and the song has stood the test of time.

So, YES fans, stand by, the new album will be out on May 19th!

The M&C Morning Show also featured music from the Academy Awards last night. Sampling a bit of Lady Gaga's song from the movie, "Top Gun: Maverick", M&C also had a clip from Rhianna singing her song "Lift Me Up". It's from the movie "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever".

Although neither won the gold statue, both stellar performances from each of the artists last night. So take a few minutes and enjoy the great new music from YES and from the Academy Awards...all good stuff!
