A Couple of weeks ago, Metallica teased us with a new track from their forth coming album "72 Seasons". Well, the new song from the band now has a title! The Mike & Carla Morning Show shared a sample of the song titled "If Darkness Had A Son"! This studio album will actually be the eleventh from Metallica. Members of the band say that there was no shortage of original ideas while recording.
Both Mike O'Brian and Carla Rea agreed that the track sounds very much like Metallica, as it should, and ROCKS!
The title of the album, "72 Seasons" is derived from the first 8 years of their lives that form their true or false selves. It's quite deep for a straight ahead heavy metal rock force! Metallica is one band
Metallica has put out ten previous studio albums, not too mention four live albums...one that includes two performances with the San Francisco Symphony! The band has wrapped up nine Grammy Awards from over 20 nominations. Heck, their last six studio albums have debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 charts consecutively! And it seems this band is just getting started!
Formed in Los Angeles in 1981, based out of San Francisco for most of their career, Metallica is considered one of the forerunners of "thrash metal". Inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame back in 1990, Metallica still grinds it our on the road touring on a regular basis.
Fans worldwide already know that with it's history, this band shows no signs of slowing down. Mark your calendar, the album "72 Seasons" is out on Friday, April 14th. So, Metallica fans, strap yourselves in and get ready. Check out the new song and tell us what you think...
