Carl Court / Staff via Getty ImagesWith Spring Break coming up, Airbnb owners are cracking down on the rules for their visitors and renters. Spring breakers can get a little crazy and with the crazy comes possible property damage. Airbnb owners are trying to prevent this from happening...and rightfully so! But on top of the regular rules to prevent such things from happening, they're adding new rules that may not make sense to the tenants.
What kind of rules are they implementing? How about not allowing them to use perfume, cologne and body oils to be sprayed in their dwelling. They're also posting signs within the rental stating that hot water will be shut off after eight minutes to help conserve water. One Airbnb owner is even going to the extent of demanding only Scott toilet paper be used because quilted toilet paper will clog his pipes, causing sewage backup in his apartment.
Renters are seeing these new rules and find them absolutely ridiculous and outrageous!
If you saw these new rules posted by the Airbnb owners, would you still consider renting their dwelling? Or would you look for another option that may not be in an area you want to rent in?
