Valentine’s Day Marriage Ceremonies At The Airport
Now, here is a great story you can tell your children and grandchildren someday: “We got married on Valentine’s Day at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas!”
According to an article written by Ricardo Torres-Cortez on ReviewJournal.com, once again this year, Clark County is operating a “pop-up” marriage license bureau, right there in an office space in the luggage pickup area.
Well, we are known as the “Wedding Capital of the World,” so why not make it as easy as possible to get hitched here in Las Vegas. You land at the airport with your fiancée, go get your luggage, walk into the office, pay $102 bucks, and boom, you have a marriage license. You can now get married with an Elvis impersonator right there in the airport, or head to one of the other Las Vegas chapels to tie the knot. Easy peasy.
The temporary office in the airport has been operating since February 2nd. It will close again after Valentine’s Day. This is not the first year the office has been open in the airport. Clark County has opened it up just about every year since 2018, except in 2021, due to the pandemic.
Last year, mainly due to the large number of couples who wanted to get married on 2/22/22, they sold 432 marriage licenses, per the Torres-Cortez article. This year, as of Monday afternoon, February 13th, they had sold 220 marriage licenses, and two vow renewal certificates. I didn’t know you needed one of those to renew your wedding vows. I learn something new every day!

Top 7 Flowers And Bouquets To Give On Valentine's Day
Time is running out for you to get your sweetheart a Valentine’s Day gift to show your love and affection, and many of you will give or receive flowers. So, which are the most impressive flowers and bouquets to gift?
According to an article written by Olivia Hosken and Annie Goldsmith which I found on TownAndCountryMag.com, there are lots of varieties to choose from. I always thought a dozen roses was the classic Valentine’s Day gift, but there are other impressive flowers and bouquets which will also show your sweetheart the depth of your feelings. Some of these in the top 7 I have never even heard of, but they are recommended by these two authors.
Not all Valentine’s Day flowers and bouquets are given as gifts to a spouse or life partner. There are times you may want to let a very good friend know how special they are to you by gifting flowers on February 14th. You may want to let your Mother know how much you love her with a beautiful floral arrangement.
Although flowers and bouquets may not last more than a few days or up to a week, Hosken and Goldsmith remind us: “The right bouquet is striking, sentimental, and can symbolize relationship milestones; the fleeting nature of its beauty reminds you to savor the sight and scent.”
Of course, it is best to note what type of flower your sweetheart loves the most. If you have that information, then you really don’t need these suggestions. But, if you are not sure which type of flower or bouquet to gift this year, here we go with the top 7 recommendations from TownAndCountryMag.com.
