As adults, have we seen the demise of the childhood sleepovers? It was something that came up this morning asking if parents actually allow sleepovers or are they a think of the past? The Mike & Carla Morning Show wanted to know as well as putting "tracker" in backpacks to know where kids are all the time. But it was decided that there was a reason for the demise of the childhood sleepovers. Safety being the main reason.

It was quite the topic this morning with listeners dialing in to put in their two cents worth especially when it came to sleepovers. Carla Rea wanted to know if they still called them "slumber parties". Tried to convince her that the term was more of a "girl" thing. Guys, we just called them "sleepovers".

Not your typical antics at a slumber party, but Carla talked about how they put all their bras on a ceiling fan. Turning it on, they were hoping to see bras fly everywhere. Well, guess what? It just didn't happen. So out came the broom sticks to get them down.

On the other hand, if you happened to have an older sister, as a little brother, you could only hope she would have a slumber party! One guy called in to re-live he's sister's sleepover and it was nothing but a good time for him.

We all have those stories growing up, but again, slumber parties were more of a girl thing and guys just slept over. That's it...noting too exciting! Unless you knew your girlfriend was having a slumber party! The fact that kids don't even go out and play anymore is another thing that came up. It seems this is a thing of the past as well.

All this happened this morning, so if you have a couple of minutes, take time and listen to the segment.
