Win Free UNLV Tuition For A Semester
If you are a student at UNLV, or you know someone who is, then make sure they attend the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels basketball game this coming Friday night, February 3rd, at 8:00pm.
According to an article written by News 3 Staff and posted on News3LV.com, sometime during the game against Fresno State at the Thomas and Mack Center, UNLV President Keith E. Whitfield will be shooting the t-shirt cannon into the crowd. One lucky UNLV student will win free tuition for a semester! Expect a packed house.
The News3LV.com article does not mention if this will be free tuition for an undergraduate or graduate student. It does not mention if this offer is for Nevada residents or out-of-state residents. There is also a Twitter post embedded in that article, and it does not have any disclaimers either.
I am sure there will be contest rules handed out or posted at the game this Friday night at the Thomas and Mack Center. In the meantime, I checked the UNLV.edu website for approximate tuition and fees for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. For Nevada residents, a typical 15-credit undergraduate course of study for one semester will cost approximately $4, 727. A 9-credit course of study for an in-state graduate student will run you about $3,607.
As with most universities around the nation, the tuition costs for out-of-state students are much higher, and UNLV is no exception. Non-resident undergraduates will pay around $13,205 per semester next year for a 15-credit course load. Graduate students from outside of the Silver State will fork over approximately $12,085 for a 9-credit course load for one semester.
Man, that is going to be one valuable t-shirt that one lucky student catches. Do you think we’ll see any big fishing nets in the stands at Friday night’s Runnin’ Rebels game? Bet on it!
