15-year old Fahim found himself in a very scary situation on January 17th! Fahim is from Bangladesh and was playing a harmless game of hide and seek with his friend! Fahim found the perfect hiding place…an open shipping container!

The shipping container may have been a good hiding place. In fact it was probably too good of a hiding place for Fahim. So good that it took him to a whole other country.

Workers at Malaysia’s Port Klang were unloading the shipping containers and saw Fahim come out from one of those shipping contains. At first the workers though he may be a victim of human trafficking, but immediately realized he was in distress. Workers tried to talk to Fahim, but he couldn’t understand him.

Fahim was locked in the shipping container for six days! He survived the trip with no water and no food. Fahim as picked up by an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital. Fahim is going to be ok and arrangement have been made to make sure he is returned back to his family in Bangladesh safely!
