Southern Glazer’s Wine, Spirits, and Beer of Nevada is set to reopen “The Academy,” to offer master classes and seasonal classes for those who would like to learn more about wine, beer, spirits, mixology, and fine service.
With more and more high-end restaurants set to open in Las Vegas in the coming weeks, months, and years, the need for highly trained mixologists, servers, and experts on wine, beer and spirits, is higher than ever. According to an article written by Julia Romero on 8NewsNow.com, The Academy will reopen in February 2023. They plan to offer 15 classes this year, including its Academy of Spirits, Mixology and fine service.
The Academy discontinued in-person classes in 2020 with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Per Romero’s article, Greg Landry, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, was quoted as saying: “We are excited to reopen the Academy to in-person instruction.” He went on to explain: “The number of new and upcoming resorts and restaurants in Las Vegas is growing daily, so the need for highly-trained food and beverage professionals has never been greater. Supporting the hospitality and beverage industry in Southern Nevada requires more than innovation in distribution — teaching people about trends and best practices keeps the industry growing.”
