People were kind of freaking out on social media yesterday when pictures of Ben Affleck working a drive thru popped up. The famous actor was shown with his head out of the drive-thru window of a Dunkin Donuts, complete with Dunkin' shirt, visor and headset. A picture was posted on Twitter of Affleck greeting a customer in a car. He seemed to be enjoying himself.
Now, it's no secret the celebrity loves him some Dunkin'. He is often caught on camera drinking (or eating) the stuff. And fans were speculating that maybe he bought a franchise. It would make good financial sense, considering how much money he undoubtedly spends there. Other fans joked about how Affleck must just be the next in a line of actors who had to turn to regular jobs to pay their bills.
But that's not the case for the Good Will Hunting star. The man has dropped five movies in the last two years, including Deep Water and Clerks 3. Not to mention the latest Justice League movie. The man is doing fine. So what the heck was he doing working at the Dunkin' Donuts in Medford, Massachusetts? Here's your answer.
Affleck was shooting a commercial. Reportedly it was a Super Bowl ad. And Jennifer Lopez is allegedly making an appearance in the commercial too. Hollywood Pipeline caught Affleck working it on video, along with some customer reactions, and J-Lo in the drive thru getting her own Dunkin' visor. One customer raved about how great Affleck was and how he gave the customer his drinks for free.
Another customer called him "crazy" (in a good way) and said he gave her all kinds of stuff including her own order. And that she had to do a double take to make sure it was indeed the star. Whether or not it was a Super Bowl commercial remains to be confirmed. I guess we'll find out on February 12th!
