Have you ever wondered what happens to all of those retired Las Vegas Christmas decorations and displays? Well, now they are being restored and revived for all of us to see in some amazing, "larger-than-life creations" by Bryan Watkins and the team at the Drag Bunch Show in Treasure Island.
According to an article written by Jaclyn Schultz on Fox5Vegas.com, Bryan Watkins has always had a love and a passion for Christmas, and he has amassed quite a collection of holiday decorations, displays, equipment, and memorabilia. What is in this collection? Schultz's article states that Watkins currently has "4,700 square feet of Christmas decor: 100,000 Christmas ornaments, 1,000 Santas, three miles of extension cords, 600,000 Christmas lights and 150 Christmas trees, as well as dozens of retired gigantic displays and animatronics from places like the Bellagio and beyond."
Check out this video which will give you a better idea of the kind of items Watkins has in his collection:
Pretty amazing, right? Now, if Bryan Watkins' name is not familiar to you, you may know him by his stage name of Shannel. He is an entertainer in the Drag Bunch Show in Senor Frog's at Treasure Island. Recently, he put his creativity and collection to good use with help from his manager Chelsea, a tailor from Drag Bunch, and some other friends, to build an incredible Christmas display in and around his home for entry in the Great Christmas Light Fight reality television show, and he won!
Most of his neighbors loved the display, but his HOA did not. So, rather than put up a fight, he decided to create a new business, which he calls Santa's Helper Designs. CLICK HERE to see his website. Now he is putting his amazing collection to good use for all of us to see in creative displays for homes, businesses, stores, malls, and according to Schultz's article, even Allegiant Stadium!
And now you know what happens to all of those retired Christmas displays, decorations, and other holiday related items. Merry Christmas!

Holiday Spirit Lights Up The Night At ‘Enchant’
Holiday spirit certainly lights up the night at "Enchant," presented by Hallmark Channel at Las Vegas Ballpark near Downtown Summerlin!
My wife and I went to this attraction in Seattle during a visit in December 2019. It was pretty amazing there, and the one here in Las Vegas is just as amazing, if not more so. We went on a pretty chilly night, with temperatures in the low 40s. As you know, it can get pretty cold at night here in the desert. Dress warmly, because you are going to be outdoors for this entire experience.
Once you enter "Enchant," you are greeted by elves outfitted with microphones and speakers. The first thing you are going to want to do is take a trip around the Las Vegas Ballpark stands. There are plenty of shops along the way with all sorts of arts, crafts, clothing, refreshments, and much more. You also get some pretty great views of all the lights included in this amazing display from above the attraction floor. They really do a great job lighting up the night with more colors than you'll find in the big box of crayons.
After you've taken a stroll around the stands, you can head down to the "Enchant Maze." This is the highlight of the attraction, and it is themed around your search for Santa's eight missing toys. There are lots of twists and turns along the maze, but rest assured, you will never get lost or frustrated during this experience.
You can also keep track of all of Santa's missing toys that you find on a special passport handed out at the beginning of the maze. With this passport completed, you can enter to win a trip to the set of a Hallmark Channel movie.
This is certainly a family-friendly attraction. There are plenty of refreshment stands for your family, and even a little tent in which to warm up a bit for those 21 and older. You'll be clicking lots of photos, so make sure your smart phone is fully charged.
