This past weekend, the most anticipated sequel to the 2009 Blockbuster hit "Avatar" was released, "Avatar: The Way of Water". When the original movie was released, it was the first of it's kind to use CGI & live action together. The opening weekend for the first film brought in $77 Million. Back then, that was a lot. It eventually went on to being the highest grossing film in history.

"Avatar: The Way of Water" brought in $134 Million this past weekend. Even though it brought in that much, is the film on track to make back the total investment? In order for the film to break even, they'd need the film to bring in over $2 Billion. Over time, it may, but it might not.

The reviews of the film are off the charts! Nothing but positive reviews, but the film's almost 3 hour length could cause a lot of people to not go to the theater to watch it. This could affect the sales and slow down the process of making the initial investment back.

Either way, if you watch it in theaters or at home, it will eventually go towards the total grossing numbers for the film. Will you see it?  Have you seen it?
