It always comes up at about this time of the year, are you one of the lucky ones that share your birthday around Christmas time? The downside of all this is that these people that do seem to get hosed on gifts each and every time!

The Mike & Carla Morning Show brought this up and had some startling stats to include that found this to be true! That those born in December tend to receive two to three gifts less than those born in other months! Think about that...talk about getting the short end of the candy cane!

Now some would think that maybe, just maybe, the parents probably plan it like that. So they can kill two birds with one stone, but do you really believe that? On the other hand, according to some experts, the best way to handle this situation is easy...celebrate the two separately!

They say to have a birthday party, even if it's not on the actual birthday and celebrate that person's birthday that way there is NO confusion. Now that sounds good on paper, but are most parents doing that?

Some parents really can't afford both...but a couple of thoughts might be to do something totally different for the birthday than Christmas. Not every birthday has to be about the gifts, but more so about the celebration and/or the "experience" that might even leave a life long memory with that child. A short road trip, a hike, and quick little inexpensive getaway are just a couple of ideas.

All in all, the bottom line is that most kids grow up feeling like that got hosed, but it truly doesn't have to be like that.
