We’re not sure how this will taste, but the people that make Hellmann’s and Best Foods mayonnaise want you mayonnaise into your EGGNOG this year. They claim it’s better than just using eggs, and posted a recipe on Instagram. But, The Mike & Carla Morning Show is thinking there might be other ingredients you might want to think about adding…
It just seems like if you do this, it would be just like drinking mayonnaise and who wants to do that…where’s the spirit of Christmas in that? Now the claim is that the mayo is a better mix than the egg yolks you might put in your NOG! And since eggs are the third ingredient in mayo, it all seemingly works out!
Not buying it yet? Well, either is Mike O’Brian, who can’t stand eggnog, but truth be told, has never tasted it! He’s claim is it just doesn’t look good or even smell good! But is that enough of a reason to deny yourself the great taste of eggnog during the holiday season?
According to the article published by Food & Wine, it’s all meant to “…highlight the versatility of Hellmann’s Mayonnaise and encourage everyone to get creative in the kitchen this holiday season!” They even encourage you to use it in cocktails as well! There are also non-alcoholic recipe’s as well!
Now we know there are so many other personal recipe’s people have to make their own specialized eggnog…so with this, let the “Nog” battles begin! What is your favorite Christmas smell? It’s a simple question…and it just happens to be that time of the year when the holidays are in high gear. With that said, The Mike & Carla Morning Show brought this up this morning and ran down the list of what some people think is the best smell during the winter holidays
An early Christmas poll asked people to rank their favorite holiday SMELLS. Of course right off the top of your head you start thinking how many Christmas smells are there? Believe it or not, enough to put together a list recently published in an article by Cision. One that popped out, but didn’t make the Top 5, was the smell of a crackling fireplace. Inside or out, you start burning wood for atmosphere or just to stay warm, the smell of a fire in the fireplace sets the tone for the entire holiday!
Also on the list of great Christmas smells, chestnuts! It’s been a while since anyone on The M&C Morning Show roasted chestnuts over an open fire, but the smell was good enough to make the Top 10! Come to think about it, have you ever roasted chestnuts over an open fire? Or just hearing the song by Nat King Cole is good enough?
Peppermint also made the list, but as you scroll down, you might not be surprised by the #1 Christmas smell…however, it has nothing to do with food or something you might sip out of a cup…but tis the season for great smells!
