Team USA won the other day beating Iran 1-0...so if you're just catching up and only watch soccer during this time, here's a few things you should know about World Cup! The Mike & Carla Morning Show had highlights from the match which featured only one goal being scored, but other than that, it was time to find out a bit more!

There is only one person who really knows about soccer on any level in this building and he works at another radio station down the hall. It's Ransom Garcia, from 107.9 Coyote Country, who lives, breathes and even plays soccer! He gave us things to watch for as Team USA get ready to play the Netherlands on Saturday!

Ransom really got into why our team actually has a shot to go a lot further in this tournament then ever before. He also talked about the fact that, although the Netherlands has a good team, why Team USA should be able to beat them...AGAIN! And you know Ransom knows what he's talking about when he starts mentioning the names of the players from our team and theirs!

And as World Cup continues, good to know that the rules change just a bit...especially when it come to overtime! Come to find out that there will be no more ties in this tournament, it's all or nothing! If it only happens every four years, but when it does, we all get stoked and sucked into the hype of World Cup, so why not know what you need to know when you watch the "match"!
