Seized Cannabis Consumed By Rats In Police Warehouse
In northern India, police seized pounds of marijuana over time. Northern India also is dealing with a rat infestation. Rats will gnaw their way through anything, including marijuana! That’s exactly what happened.
Police arrived at their warehouse to find that the rats had eaten a bunch of the cannabis that was recently confiscated from drug dealers. They were asked to provide an amount of the cannabis in court as evidence, but couldn’t. They were asked to provide 386 kilos of cannabis. 700 kilos of marijuana is apparently stored in various stations and warehouses across Mathura and the rat infestation could impact it.
And if you think this is a first time offence from the rats, you’d be wrong. Apparently police have had this issue before. They’re saying a total of more than 500 kilograms of cannabis that they seized from different cases and stored at the city’s Shergarth and Highway Police Station, has been destroyed by the rats!
Courts there have crated guidelines for the police department. The judge then said, “There’s a rat menace in almost all police stations. Hence, necessary arrangements need to be made to safeguard the cannabis that’s been confiscated.” The judge also said, “Rats are small animals, and they aren’t scared of the police!”
