With Christmas right around the corner, food for thought this morning as we come to find out that according to a new survey, on average, people spend 34 HOURS of their lives untangling holiday lights . . . and a day-and-a-half picking up fallen pine needles from LIVING trees in their homes. Got to admit, The Mike & Carla Morning Show was SHOCKED (shocked) to find this out and thought they were low balling with the numbers.

According to a recent article published by SWNS, we come to find out that each and every time we decide to put up the Christmas lights, we are wasting away more time that could be used to do more productive things like...uh, wrap gifts?

If you want to put the holidays in perspective, we actually spend more than two days decorating the tree, and if that wasn't enought, 164 weeks – just over three years – cleaning and tidying before guests arrive, to ensure the festive season goes to plan! We are not kidding here...it takes time to get everything into the holiday spirit!

On the other hand, won't even get into how much time we spend cooking and baking, but a lot of people we think that's time put to good use...especially around this time of the year. However, if you really want to know, the average person will spend two-and-a-half YEARS planning and preparing the main holiday meal.

If you really think about it, there are a lot of ways that each of us waste time on, but clearly, the untangling of Christmas lights takes the cake! We've all been there and we've all done...just didn't know that it added up so quick! So look at how you spend your time during the holidays...this is something you definitely want to get the details on.
